Meckley Services, Inc. is Hiring a Commercial Construction Superintendent Near Chesapeake, VA
MECKLEY SERVICES IS LOOKING FOR A COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT WHO HAS A FUNDAMENTAL KNOWLEDGE OF CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL COST AND FUNDAMENTAL KNOWLEDGE OF DIVISIONS: CONCRETE, MASONRY, CARPENTRY, ROOFING, DOORS, FRAMES AND HARDWARE, PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL, AND BASIC UTILITIES/EXCAVATION.
Our superintendent works nights and weekends as needed. Our average superintendent makes $100K with his OT.
Responsibilities:
- Manage commercial interior and exterior renovation work. Small project renovation experience a plus.
- In charge of management of electrical, plumbing, and concrete throughout the project
- Client and Sub-Contractor coordination
- Permit tracking and closeout management
- Change-order Logs and Sub-contract Change-order tracking
- RFI and submitting and tracking Job Cost Reporting - Project Close-Out
- Prepare cost estimates based on information collected by others.
Qualifications:
- A Superintendent should have fundamental knowledge of construction material cost and fundamental knowledge of Divisions: Concrete, Masonry, Carpentry, Roofing, Doors, Frames and Hardware, Plumbing, Electrical, and Basic Utilities/Excavation
- Minimum 5 years in Commercial Service Management Industry
- Ability to be flexible to adjust to changing conditions and the needs of our customers.
- Good communication (verbal and written), interpersonal skills required.
- Proficiency in reading Blueprints
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to successfully complete and pass a criminal background screening, drug test, and driver's license check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per year
