The Commercial Construction Sales Inside Support Representative will create, foster and sustain valuable relationships within Munn Lumber, Munn Lumber’s customers, architects, developers, etc. This individual will be responsible for supporting the Outside Sales Team including order entry, assigned customer responsibility, material takeoffs, job site visits, preconstruction meetings, and project management.

• Previous experience with Commercial Construction or Commercial Estimating is preferred.
• Will work with the Munn Lumber Commercial Inside Support, and Outside Sales Teams in servicing the assigned commercial customer base.
• Learn company products, services, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.
• Learn proper procedures for orders, special orders, purchase orders, credit memos, receiving, etc.
• Learn all computer and online programs for special order doors, windows, and specialty items.
• Understand profit margins and customer service levels in order to maximize the profitability of the contractor sales department.
• Attend training sessions in person or online as required.
• Maintain knowledge of vendors, vendor catalogs (hard copy and online) and discount structures.
• Work within the Commercial Inside Support Team and along with other Munn Lumber Support Functions (Outside Sales, Estimating, Receiving, Delivery)
• Back-up all members of the Commercial Team members regarding phone answering and inquiries.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Previous commercial construction or sales experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Physical ability to lift and carry 80 pounds.
• Desire to learn and grow professionally.
• Ability to form strong relationships with customers.
• Ability to react quickly to problems and respond to them accurately and professionally.
• Ability to operate office equipment.
• Friendly outgoing personality that enjoys working with people.
• Positive and energetic attitude.
• Strong verbal skills.
