SUMMARY: With close supervision, supports the Maryland Instructional Resource Center’s (MIRC) organizational needs by embossing, binding, and graphic production of braille instructional materials.

Equipment Used: Windows based PCs, Duxbury Braille Translation Software, keyboard, mouse, modem, printer, scanner, photocopier, Stereocopier, braille embossers, thermoform, tactile graphics kit, binding machine, paper cutter, scissors.
Performance Standard: Must ensure accurate, timely production of braille materials and tactile graphics 100% of the time.
Work Environment: Standard office conditions with overhead fluorescent lighting, 70?80 degree air temperature. Second floor location requiring use of stairs when elevator is not functioning.
Work Schedule: 22.5 daytime hours, Monday-Friday. Flextime or additional hours occasionally required. This position follows the standard 12-month school calendar, and is benefits eligible.
Pay Rate: $19.92-$24.21, commensurate with education and experience, in keeping with Grade 4 of MSB's Non Exempt Administrative Scale.
