Quality Technician – MDI Worldwide

If you are looking for a job where you will have responsibility for inspecting our products from start to finish and feel a sense of pride when a quality product goes out the door, this is the job for you!

The responsibilities include the following:

  • Daily inspection of product on the plant floor involving incoming, in-process and final inspections.
  • Determining acceptance or rejection of incoming raw materials, goods in process, and finished goods.
  • Ensuring quality procedures are understood and followed throughout the plant.
  • Notifying appropriate departments of product deficiencies to enable expeditious resolution of the problem.
  • For return products, verifying acceptability of product and reporting discrepancies as appropriate.
  • Maintaining quality procedures and quality reports, as needed.
  • Participating in continuous improvement processes and the documentation of those processes.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED; Associates degree in a technical area a plus.
  • Certified Quality Inspector preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a quality control role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Proficiency in use of various inspection devices.
  • Ability to read and work from engineering prints.
  • Ability to make decisions about the quality of products.
  • Interpersonal skills that foster a positive work environment.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Leadership skills to facilitate employees to follow quality procedures and standards.
