MDG is hiring! We are seeking an experienced Account Director to join the team. 
We have an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented account director with 8-10 years of ad agency account management experience. We're seeking a professional multi-tasker, who works well under pressure and within tight deadlines, with traditional and digital advertising experience
The right candidate:
  • will handle several accounts and assist account teams in developing the marketing insights that will drive our clients' integrated marketing strategies and campaigns. Including building strong relationships with vendors, agency colleagues, and clients, setting and managing expectations and driving results
  • is expected to become intimately familiar with all agency processes and departments. There will be an opportunity to contribute to internal initiatives and development of tools to maximize workflow and support growth
  • you will be an integral part of business development processes and handle incoming leads with the executive team and other directors. You will be expected to help build presentations, assist in RFP response, and present to prospective clients both with the team and independently
What you'll do:
  • Manage dedicated a dedicated account team who are responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the assigned client(s) including: campaign planning and development, daily project deliverables, and results reporting
  • Responsible for the entire process and accountable for deliverables released to the client and deployed in the market. 
  • Understand business at a granular level and be able to provide recommendations (weekly, monthly) on how to change and adapt to business needs
  • Oversee strategic initiatives, manages internal resources, and schedules across all campaigns and client deliverables
  • Coordinate with creative, social media, media, and development teams
  • Consult with discipline leads and collaborate internally to build the best solutions for individual campaigns
  • Keep accurate records of campaigns and campaign performance as well as track against project scope
  • Work with VP, Client Success to plan growth of each assigned client
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring new and existing team members as needed
  • Help handle day-to-day escalations for all assigned clients
  • Manages quarterly business review, and other additional items that may include but not limited to the following; annual planning, program evaluations, enhancement recommendations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Advertising, Marketing or related field required
  • 10 years’ ad agency experiencemanaging and executing multi-channel digital projects
  • Experience in digital, social,traditional, media is required
  • Understanding of generaladvertising principles and account service client management protocol
  • Manages multiple tasks and tightdeadlines with confidence and ease
  • Tactful and diplomaticcommunication skills; internal, external, formal and informal written, andverbal
  • Ability to communicate complexinformation in easy-to-understand terms
  • Skilled in presenting to highlevel clients
  • Able to actively build andmaintain good working relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Must be willing to go above andbeyond to ensure client’s issues and requests are sufficiently resolved
  • Organized and pays attention toevery detail
  • Proactive problem solving
  • Hospitality, healthcare, andretail experience a plus
  • You must have a valid driver’slicense and have your own reliable transportation to attend client meetings andevents
