Automotive Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk

Volkswagen of Puente Hills is looking for an efficient, and organized Accounts Payable/Receivable clerk who possesses outstanding accounting adeptness. As an Accounts Payable/Receivable clerk you will be responsible for the accurate processing of invoices, checks, refunds, bank deposits, and vendors accounts, ensuring that invoices are precise, and payments are accurate.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Match invoices to receiving documents.
• Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Prints and obtains signatures on all accounts payable checks.
• Distributes signed checks as required.
• Reconciles and deposits service and parts receipts, including charge cards on a daily basis.
• Prepares garnishment checks per reports from payroll.
• Post invoices into the computer system.
• Answers all vendor inquiries.
• Generate accounts payable and refund checks.
• Research vendor statements, phone calls and discrepancies.
• File paid and unpaid invoices and statements.
• Create and mail receivable statements.
• Collect payments from vendors and accurately record it into the system.
• Update customer accounts based on payment and contact information.
• Maintain receivable and payable schedules.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and pricing disputes.
• Perform all duties related to accounts receivable billing and collections.
• Maintain a cooperative manner with other employees.
• Any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• CDK experience a must.
• At least 2 years automotive AP/AR experience
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from colleagues, managers, and customers.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities
• High diploma or equivalent.
