The Transportation Manager at American Airlines – The Landing at Skyview 6 is responsible for planning and supervising schedules, routes, tracks vehicles, coordinating with third party transportation partners, monitors transportation costs, ensures compliance with vehicle safety regulations, and maintains records. They also conduct safety audits and organize training sessions for employees. Their role is crucial in managing the guest transportation aspect of the hotel and ensuring safe and timely delivery of guests to their destinations.Responsibilities:Schedule daily and weekly routes.Coordinate with Conference Planning and Housing to ensure proper guest transportation.Monitor and report on transportation costs.Ensure billing documents are properly filed.Report maintenance and repair needs for transportation vehicles.Research and suggest cost-effective methods.Conduct regular safety audits on vehicles.Organize training sessions for drivers. Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders.Ensure compliance with company policies.Stay up-to-date with safety regulations.Develop and sustain positive customer relations with both guests and transportation partners.Maintain knowledge of hotel’s services, amenities, and attractionsUsing empowerment to resolve guest and vendor issues.Follow all policies, rules, and safety procedures for shuttles and Guest Service vehicles.Coordinate and monitor logistics with group movements to ensure smooth operations through group resumes.Coordinate with outside agencies for additional transportation needs.Confirm bookings with guests on transportation needs and give transportation price quotes.Implement schedule and safety policy changes.Conduct weekly inspections of all vehicles ensuring cleanliness and pristine conditions.Communicate with vehicle maintenance on various shuttle and Guest Service issues, routine care and needs.Coordinate the weekly schedule for hotel van drivers, input into time keeping system, manage hours and monitor overtime.Collaborate with other managers and staff members in order to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.Develop criteria for procedural manuals and monitor implementation.Plan, organize and manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.Ability to drive guest vans as needed.Conduct monthly meetings with drivers.Keep an inventory for cleaning/operational supplies and order any necessary items.Daily transportation grids of group movements, in-house and outsourced transportation.Handle any issues with employees as they arise.Requirements:High school or equivalent education required.
