McMillen has an opportunity for an experienced, energetic, and collaborative Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our HR Team. Our Talent Acquisition Specialist will manage our talent acquisition process to ensure we are fulfilling the staffing needs of our growing company. This position will oversee the entire recruiting life cycle for our company from applicant sourcing to offer creation and everything in-between.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with hiring managers and HR to build innovative recruitment plans, clarify required job skills and competencies, and use the best sourcing strategies and techniques for each job category.
  • Attract and locate the best candidates for each position utilizing all available resources.
  • Proactively contact and manage candidates and resources based on current need and organization priorities.
  • Work with national and international hiring managers to improve responsiveness and timeliness and successful placement.
  • Perform targeted direct recruiting searches to attract passive candidates.
  • Source the most qualified candidate pools by utilizing a variety of recruiting resources: job boards, networking, social media, recruiting and industry events, employee referrals, and diversity outreach.
  • Review resumes, conduct candidate phone screens/assessments, analyze qualifications and when appropriate, present to hiring managers.
  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the leadership team or hiring manager.
  • Coordinate travel and housing needs for in-person interviews at McMillen offices.
  • Oversee candidate pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • Manage the offer process and act as a liaison between the candidate and the hiring manager during negotiations, considering the company's and candidate's needs throughout the process
  • Responsible for the annual AAP data collection process and plan creation.
  • Build relationships with target colleges and universities to attract recent graduates to our company.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Ensures Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Arcoro, is managed and maintained.
  • Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory.
  • Creates, updates, maintains company job description library.
  • Maintains compliance with international, federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations. Knowledge of OFCCP rules and regulations is highly desirable.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years recruiting experience, preferably in the engineering consultancy, architecture, or design/build construction industries.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Preferred previous experience utilizing Applicant Tracking Systems, ideally Arcoro.
  • Preferred experience with international recruiting and immigration procedures.
  • Previous experience in an HR Generalist capacity is preferred.
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and consistently deliver high quality work product ahead of schedule.
  • A positive, motivated, and professional demeanor with a strong customer service focus.
