Job Overview
The Shipping / Receiving Clerk is responsible for daily operations of the shipping and receiving department. The Shipping / Receiving Clerk tracks inventory and controls flow of product from receipt to production use. The position requires receiving material from trucks, logging inventory into software, and applying material purchases to the proper job.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Receive orders into ERP System
· Organizes and maintain inventory.
· Schedule LTL & UPS Shipments
· QC Machine Parts
· Controls daily inventory.
· Follows inventory procedures.
· Ensures outgoing materials are properly packaged and required shipping documents are included.
· Puts together kits for jobs.
· Keep work area clean and organized.
· Adhere to all safety guidelines.
· Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
· Participate in improvement activities and makes recommendations for improvement.
· Perform other duties as required.
· Perform Inventory Counts – Daily, Weekly, Monthly & Quarterly
Qualifications
· Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers using both written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and easily adapt to changes through the day
· Lifting 50 lbs
· Standing up to 100% of the time
· Accurate and precise attention to detail
· Must be self-motivated and able to work as a part of a team to achieve the company’s overall goals
· Must have an aptitude for numbers and the ability to accurately file and keep records
· Data entry and word processing skills
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Ability to use a tape measure & micrometer
· Experience with ERP System: 3-5 years
· Forklift Experience Required
· Crane & Hoist Experience (preferred but not required)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
