McIlwain Dental Specialists is Hiring an Orthodontic Dental Assistant Near Tampa, FL

We are looking for an experienced orthodontic dental assistant who loves children, has a cheerful disposition, and is a professional with exceptional customer service skills and computer literacy. We need an assistant who can work independently with attention to detail and anticipate the needs of the doctors and team. This full-time position requires four (10) hour days, Monday through Thursday 7am to 5:30pm.

The assistant will provide clinical support to help promote the relationship between our patients and doctors, increase the efficiency of delivering quality care and maintain communication between doctors, patient and administrative staff to ensure a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities and Duties

Travel between our Wesley Chapel and Tampa locations

· Greet and prepare patients for treatment.

· Chair side assisting during a variety of orthodontic and/or pediatric procedures.

· Take radiographs and intra-oral pictures.

· Provide post-operative instructions and patient education.

· Prepare, breakdown, disinfect and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments.

· Maintain compliance to infection control, CDC, OSHA and HIPPA.

· Maintain accurate patient records

· Schedule appointments

· Assist with payment procedures

· Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

· Willingness and capability to travel

· Possess required certifications, licensure or registration as required by the state of
Florida

· Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology

· Embrace a positive team approach to patient care

· Strong verbal skills

· Bi-Lingual a plus (but not required)

· EFDA certification a plus (but not required)

· Inbrace certification a plus

Salary

$17-24 per hour to start based on experience
