Hospice RN Per Diem

Per Diem - Days and Evenings - Required to Work 2 Shifts Per Month or Take Weekend Call Once a Month - Required to Assist in Providing Coverage One Summer Holiday and One Winter Holiday.

**Pay rate up to $38/hour**

What do I need as a Hospice RN Per Diem with McGregor?

• Must be a graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.
• Current active, unencumbered license as a registered nurse (RN) in
• the State of Ohio.
• Current CPR certification (Basic Life Support).
• Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license and acceptable driving record.

What will I do as a Hospice RN Per Diem with McGregor?

• Utilizes the nursing process to meet the hospice care needs of assigned patients. Completes initial, comprehensive and ongoing assessment of clients. Provides necessary care and treatments in accordance with the plan of care and standards of care to promote comfort and quality of life. Evaluates effectiveness of measures implemented.
• Collaborates with Hospice Medical Director, or designee, to provide symptom management and promote comfort and quality of life.
• Collaborates with other health care providers, including those at facilities, regarding changes in condition and client needs.
• Collaborates with patients/families regarding goals of care and plan of care. Provides education and counseling related to hospice philosophy, goals of care, disease process/progression, hands-on-care, end of life process and expectations.
• Completes required documentation in the EMR after each visit.
• Updates the Interdisciplinary Team after each visit.
• Fosters a positive work environment consistent with the mission and values of McGregor.
• Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development. Actively seeks resources to meet learning needs.
• Meets required work commitment as stated above unless cancelled by the Director.
• Stays updated on organizational and department announcements checking McGregor email regularly and attending mandatory meetings.
