Job Summary
Responsible for being knowledgeable and educated in our company products and services. Provide professional, accurate, and excellent customer service. Speak clearly, politely, and respectfully to all customers. Promptly answer customer calls and respond timely to all emails and inquiries.

Responsibilities 
  • Sell company products and services to customers by processing orders, price and delivery inquiries, providing technical and application information, soliciting customer orders, and suggesting additional products in a fast multi-tasking environment.
  • Maintains responsibility for orders from quote to invoice.
  • Select and specify a variety of products utilizing a variety of vendors.
  • Process customers’ orders and send requested order acknowledgments.
  • Review customer purchase orders for special conditions/documentation.
  • Check availability and verify the ship date.
  • Increase order size by suggesting related items, explaining features, and checking customers’ buying histories.
  • Process and expedite orders, customer returns, and returns to vendors in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Works closely with an outside salesperson in soliciting business, executing order transactions, and maintaining superior customer service levels.
  • Works closely with buyers to locate products and ensure timely delivery.
  • Communicates effectively and participates positively as a member of the inside sales team.
  • Review open customer order reports and take action on open items in a timely manner; specifically, those
  • items that may be at risk in meeting the customer’s promised delivery date.
  • Willingness to be flexible, including working overtime, and performing responsibilities not specifically
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • 1-3 years experience in the Customer Service related Industry and Inside Sales preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with warehouse and delivery methods, techniques, and procedures.
  • Ability to use MS Office, proficiency in MS Excel, and basic understanding and navigation of Prophet 21 setup and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with pricing schemes and suppliers
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner and listen attentively to others, and understands the material.
  • Strong verbal, written, mathematical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain a good working relationship with customers, co-workers, supervisors, management, and various personnel.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers/peers/supervisors.
  • Attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in customer orders.
