McFarlin Stanford is Hiring a Landscape Designer Near Wilton, CT

Job Description:To create and sell landscape designs and services and to establish a working relationship with homeowners in a positive, professional and cost effective manner.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and sell landscape jobs and services to meet annual sales goal set in January of each year for a the season
  • Design residential and commercial landscape projects
  • Bid through LMN software
  • Meet gross revenue and net profit goals by selling at proper rates
  • Preparing job cost analysis to review each job as completed
  • Schedule work with Production Manager to meet timelines and deadlines as agreed upon with customer
  • Attend weekly production and sales meetings
  • Remain up to date and informed on current industry practices and techniques
  • Give technical assistance to crews when needed

Management of Jobs and Staff:

  • Positively influence employee morale and exemplify attitude of cooperativeness
  • Review job specs, plans, plant lists, designs, etc. with the Production Manager and Crew Leaders to make sure that the job is clearly laid out and explained to all responsible staff
  • Promote Safety first on all job sites to protect employees and consumers.

Customer Service:

  • Communicate with customer as needed to maintain a good working relationship
  • Call to schedule appointments for new estimates requested within 48 hours of request
  • Assess customer needs and make sure the expected outcome is clear and established
  • Recommend additional services to customer (or salesman) that are noticed during property inspection
  • Return calls to the customer within same business day or next day by 10 am
  • Give the customer an estimate of additional work requested within 24 hours if applicable
  • Obtain a signed change order (including price of work to be performed) for any additional work to be done that is not included in the signed contract and turn in to the office for set up and billing
  • Communicate with customers with timeframes for start completion dates and account for delays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
