Reports to: Procurement Manager

Hours: Monday through Friday 3:30pm - 12:00AM, with one Saturday 

Rate: $16.50 - $19.50

Objective:Parts room tech will be responsible for maintaining parts inventory. This requires independence and initiative to keep the parts room functioning efficiently. The tech will be responsible for dealing directly with vendors to maintain optimum inventory at best possible price. The position services the needs of maintenance and the facility as well as the janitorial staff.

Job Responsibilities:

• Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using CMMS maintenance software.
• Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms.
• Verify parts inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
• Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on physical capabilities of facilities.
• Conduct physical inventory toensure an accurate inventory tally.
• Order parts for maintenance, janitorial, facilities, and production.
• Track part usage and missing parts through various reports.
• Send out daily and weekly inventory reports of parts purchased and received.
• Receive products from UPs and Fedex and take to proper locations.
• Quote and purchase parts based on best prices.
• Review previous days’ orders for errors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to use maintenance management software (CMMS)
• Parts room/storeroom experience preferred this includes but not limited to stocking shelfs making part tags creating new bin locations for new parts that come in
• Basic restock and purchasing experience preferred.This includes but is not limited to gathering quotes finding the best price point for an item. placing multiple orders. Tracking lead times on various stock items.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous retail environment history is a plus.
• Strong attention to details.
• Knowledge of CMMS Maintenance Software
• Strong math skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to work. and communicate with all levels of the organization, experience in a multi-shift operation a plus.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time working on desktop computer; ability to walk throughout facility daily.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with and\or managing an inventory

Other:

• First Shift or Second Shift
• Some overtime and weekends
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to walk, stand, or sit for long periods of time if necessary.
• Able to work on a computer for long periods of time if necessary.
• Must be able to climb a ladder.
