McDonough, Eddy, Poling & Baylous, A.C. is the largest locally owned CPA firm in the Mid-Ohio Valley. We provide accounting, consulting and tax services for Corporations, Partnerships, Sole Proprietors, Exempt Entities and Individuals. Responsibilities:

• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate recording of transactions
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries
• Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
• Process payroll
• Assist with accounting tasks, such as managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Conduct account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and maintain detailed financial records for tax purposes
• Provide support for technical accounting issues as they arise
• Utilize software programs such as QuickBooks
• Other duties as deemed necessary

Required:

• High School Diploma
• Knowledge of general accounting concepts
• Experience using Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of firm and client information
• Data entry skills and high attention to detail
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Able to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Willing to adapt to continuous process improvement and changes in technology

Other Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Experience applying accounting practices within a business environment
• QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
• Proficiency in bank reconciliation, bookkeeping, and financial reporting
• Knowledge of payroll processes and regulations
• Associate degree in accounting or comparable accounting and bookkeeping experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
