McCoy Federal Credit Union is Hiring a General Accounting Clerk Near Orlando, FL
The accounting clerk ensures entries, reports, policies, and practices adhere to GAAP, credit union rules and conduct. They are generally responsible for balancing and updating general ledger accounts, paying invoices, processing wires, reviewing daily reports and settlements on various systems, reconciliations, assisting with financial audits, maintaining various financial/accounting records for the credit union, and conducting research.

Essential Functions
- Balance Federal Reserve and Corporate accounts with internal general ledger system daily
- Research and answer member and branch inquiries
- Complete daily functions accurately and within the deadlines of the department
- Prepare, download, distribute, process and balance daily totals, adjustments, and outages from various systems to credit union departments
- Designated lead on annual projects
- Assist with annual audits
- Reconcile general ledger accounts
- Review for accuracy and process wire transfers
- Process Accounts Payable
- Monitor credit union cash levels
- Understand accrual accounting
- Process, balance, and inventory Fixed Assets and Prepaids
- Reconcile daily transactions and bank statements
- Assist with month end and quarterly reports
Work experience must be in an accounting related field such as accounts payable, working with general ledgers, etc.
2 to 3 years work experience in a financial institution, bank or credit union
This is an IN PERSON postion, the job is located at 35 W. Michigan Street, Orlando 32806.
