Wakefield Plantation Country Club is seeking an Activities Director to join our team. The Activities Director will coordinate all member family and youth events as they relate to kids’ activities, camps, kid’s night out, holiday and family events and other various functions throughout the year. The Activities Director will report to the Corporate Wellness & Activities Director and the General Manager.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Plans, monitors and supervises all member Children’s activities and events such as the Children’s Easter and Santa’s Brunch, Memorial Day youth activities, etc

• Hires, trains, supervises, schedules and evaluates children’s program staff

• Works with appropriate department leaders to plan, develop, implement and supervise age-appropriate programming and evaluate ongoing programs

• Works with appropriate department leaders to create an exciting calendar of events for all ages.

• Is present, as requested, at all member functions

• Updates and posts on social media including Instagram, Twitter and Facebook in coordination with the Communications Director

• Responsible for collecting and submitting information for the McConnell Newsletter

• Coordinates and promotes monthly family, holiday and kids events

• Organizes and run the summer camp program

• Keeps track of all sign in sheets for kids programs

• Responsible for coordinating volunteer work as part of the McConnell Footprints on the Green initiative.

• Assist the Membership Sales and Marketing staff with photos and marketing pieces as needed

• Provides quality service to all members and staff

• Organizes and plans birthday and holiday parties as appropriate for the member’s children

• Attends company training/seminar events

• Book, coordinate and manage all external vendors for kids’ events and collaborate on club events

• Update kids club roster with new and resigned members including allergies

• Inventory and order supplies for all activities

• Weekly email to parents on upcoming events

• Serve as the Club liaison to the Swim Team and assist with coordination, communication, and execution of Swim season tasks and events

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Requires a high degree of administrative skills and executive ability and creativity • Excellent oral and written communications skills

• Minimum of 3-5 years related work experience in child/youth setting

• Minimum of 3-5 years related work experience in event planning

• Current CPR & First Aid Certification

• Proficiency in presentation of projects

• Proficient with computer technology and standard software programs

• Actively use time-management system for appointments, projects, deadlines and follow-up

• Ability to effectively respond to feedback and suggestions to continuously improve the services provided to members

• We are all in Sales – assists with club tours and is highly knowledgeable of the Club’s culture and procedures respectively to membership inquiries, as needed
