McCarthy & Smith, Inc, is Hiring a Cost Analyst Near Davisburg, MI

Summary:

Cost Control Administrator is responsible for handling construction project and contractor monthly billings, issuing payment checks and processing documents on multiple projects to meet company & project objectives and requirements. Cost Control Administer interfaces and collaborates with project team members, project owners and contractor community.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Set-up and maintain construction project costs in Cost Control system
  • Process monthly contractor billings and payments (A/R and A/P)
  • Work with project team to expedite payment process (set-up through close-out).
  • Maintain billing calendar
  • Maintain up-to-date contractor insurance forms
  • Manage multiple construction projects at same time
  • Understand and be proficient in Cost Control Software System
  • Recommend process/system improvements and procedures
  • Ensure accuracy and initiate corrective actions
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with all project team member
  • Handle contractor billings with AIA billing system on General Contracting projects (when assigned)

Qualifications:

  • Accounting Associates degree or related experience. . Minimum three years of accounting experience
  • Construction accounting experience
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
  • Proven accurate data entry skills with ability to identify numerical errors and correct
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Proven organizational and time-management abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, dependable and flexible
  • Have proven track record in successfully completing CC projects that meet objectives & requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (using financial formulas and creating spreadsheets)
  • Ability to learn and use web-based accounting software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
