The person previously in this role was just promoted as our new Sales Director, so we are looking for the best person to fill her shoes!
If you’re the high level leader of people and manager of sales we're looking for, you've probably never given the auto industry a second thought - in fact, now that we mention it, you might be thinking, "not a chance!"
Well, that's what most everyone on our team thought, until they understood who we are and what we're all about. That negative stigma and stereotype that probably came to mind for you, is exactly what creates such an awesome opportunity for us. We love breaking the mold and standing out, and our clients love the difference, too.
So if that stigma comes to mind, we certainly understand. In fact, most of our team had never worked at a dealership prior - including the owner - and most of us felt the same about this industry before. That's a big part of why this actually is different. We have an awesome team coming from many industries, striving to transcend the car dealer stereotype - and we're having a great time doing it. Not much of it feels like a dealership - and you feel that from the second you drive up to our building, or walk in the front doors. Keep reading, and you might just find the opportunity you’re looking for, in an industry you probably never thought you'd consider.
WHO WE ARE:
Conventional wisdom says this post should be all about you - but we know the leader we’re looking for wants to bring their talent to a great culture and awesome company. So here’s a little about us:
3x winners of both Idaho's Best and Best of the Treasure Valley for 2020-2023 – Maverick is a car dealership that doesn't act like one. Our customers feel the difference – rating us 4.9 on Google, in over 1400 reviews! They love the experience they have, and keep coming back and bringing their friends. As a result, we've continued growing since 2008. We first expanded in 2009, again in 2011, then built an awesome new facility in 2017, and we’re working towards another expansion soon. We love what we do, and we are constantly getting feedback from our customers like this:
"Without a doubt the most revolutionary dealership I've ever had the pleasure to deal with. I wanted to take the time to fully communicate how incredible these people really are." Google Review
This one is from a recent email to me as the owner:
"Thank you again so much for reaching out even after my purchase. Your team did an amazing job at helping me with this big purchase and helped me in any way that they could... I could tell they truly cared about my best interest. This was my first time purchasing a car from a car dealership and I was ridiculously blessed that I had the experience I did with you guys. I am a pretty "go with your gut" type of gal and I could feel the sincerity of the individuals at your place. I actually see all the stickers all the time now and I feel like I am part of the tribe! Thank you for all you guys have done for me already!"
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
This is a pivotal role for our organization, leading our team of Client Advisors to maximize every opportunity to provide an exceptional car buying experience, and creating clients for life. This role involves a great deal of coaching and training directly with our sales team - on sales process and skills of course, but an even bigger focus on time/task management and relationship building with clients. This requires a dynamic individual with serious strengths and capabilities in a variety of areas.
First and foremost, we're looking for an inspiring team builder and coach; someone who loves developing people and helping them grow personally and professionally, while harnessing the various talents and personalities of individuals to create synergy within the team.
Next is someone who loves the psychology and skills of sales and relationship building, and who wants to help others learn and master these for their own success and that of the team.
This also needs to be someone who enjoys being involved with clients, often being front and center, sometimes at the very beginning, and always throughout and at the end of the sales process.
There’s lots of leadership and coaching to be done here, but this is not a corner office, behind the desk kind of job. This will require a great deal of nitty gritty work with the team, with clients, and with cars - including learning inventory, mastering vehicle financing, process improvement, daily training with the team, and tons of one-on-one coaching, demonstrating, and role playing - finding ways to help each person grow and succeed.
