Shifts: All Shifts

Location: Fullerton

Hourly: $20.60 - $28.00 DOE

**Incumbent eligible for a $500 signing bonus payable after 6 months of continuous service **

Position Overview: The Dispatcher handles day-to-day shipping activities relating to the scheduling of trucks, receiving, and releasing orders, and inventory management, as well as the daily duties assigned, pertaining to all warehouse clerical functions to assure timely and accurate data entry.

Language Skills: English proficiency required. Spanish is a plus.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Amount of Travel Involved: None.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times.
  • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
  • Answer all incoming calls from customers and direct to the appropriate individual.
  • Check in drivers, verifying identity and order number as well as making sure they adhere to their appointment schedule.
  • Make adjustments in Warehouse Systems (ILS/SAP) to move products to non-shippable locations as necessary.
  • Organize and file various shipping and inventory documents.
  • Run routine reports for customers relating to inventory levels, shelf life, product shipments, production, adjustments, and products on hold.
  • Look up, edit, release, and receive orders using various inventory management systems.
  • Assist in various phases of inventory control and research.
  • Answer customer questions or concerns.
  • Copy and distribute paperwork as necessary.
  • Manual entry of non-EDI orders into the appropriate Inventory Management System
  • Assist in closing Bills of Lading in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Assist with cycle counts.
  • Assist Warehouse personnel as necessary.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Work scheduled shift, weekends, and extended hours as required.
  • Regular and punctual attendance.

Education and/or Experience:

  • H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.
  • 1-2 years’ related experience required.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with inventory management systems preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • SAP and ILS experience is desirable.
