Our group fitness workouts are inspired by Floyd Mayweather’s training and techniques using a variety of boxing combinations, cardio, endurance, and strength training. Our personalized approach to results is powered by in-studio technology, innovative programming, and daily variety. Reports to:
Studio Manager

Schedule: 45 hours/week

Pay Structure: Annual salary of 44k-52k (based on experience) commission.

Job Overview

The Head Instructor is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day studio class sessions, membership engagement & retention, hiring & development trainers, and community engagement. The Head Instructor will be responsible for the studio's sales quotes and other performance metrics. The Head Instructor will directly supervise trainers as well as be responsible for the hiring and on-boarding of trainers, planning daily, weekly, and monthly schedules, providing excellent customer service, and directing work tasks. The Head Instructor will manage all aspects of continuous coaching, assisting in annual performance reviews for the trainers, and providing rewards and recognition to high performers. The Head Instructor will work with the Studio Manager to bring holistic health and wellness vendor opportunities to our studio as additional perks to our members (to include but not limited to nutritionist and physical therapist).

Job Description

  • Leading and motivating members through pre-defined workouts
  • Making sure members are using the correct form and offering corrections (if need be)
  • Understanding the science behind our workouts, heart-rate-focused training programs, and being aware of what the competition is doing.
  • Knowing how to use and demonstrate usage for every piece of equipment utilized in every workout
  • Completing 5-10 hours of administrative and maintenance duties per week
  • Works directly with Studio Manager to increase studio utilization, retention and workout traffic
  • Being a team player
  • Has a regular cadence of meetings (to include with the Franchisee, as determined) and training with the team to ensure continued training development, and completion of goals

Responsibilities

  • Hires, trains, and schedules instructors alongside the studio manager
  • Manages, develops, and evaluates & executes the performance of all Mayweather Boxing & Fitness Instructors and trains them for continued success and future growth
  • Regularly attends training, bringing lessons learned back to the coaching staff for implementation. Regularly attends Mayweather Boxing & Fitness classes, a minimum of 1 visit per week.
  • Works directly with Studio Manager to increase studio utilization and workout traffic
  • Promotes the studio and brand through social media efforts by directing staff to participate in campaigns
  • Has a regular cadence of meetings and training with the team to ensure continued development, and completion of goals
  • Executes and coordinates the company’s marketing through demos & pop-ups (pre-sale events, studio events, outreach)
  • Responsible for meeting performance metrics (KPI’s). Utilization, attrition, First Visit conversion
  • Meets or exceeds personal goal as well as studio total goal
  • Acts as brand ambassador for community engagement, lead generation, civic networking, and collaboration

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Hold and maintain a current fitness certification from an education company approved by Mayweather Boxing & Fitness
  • Be AED/CPR certified
