We’re so glad you are interested in the Supply Chain Analyst role. This position will be based out of a Corporate Office in Mayville, Wisconsin or Byron Center, Michigan. As a team member/owner at MEC, you will lead and drive Purchasing process improvements through the organization. You will support the strategic sourcing, supplier development, and materials management teams in their efforts to ensure purchased products meet our quality and delivery expectations at the lowest possible total landed cost. The Supply Chain Analyst will develop and implement business processes and enrich data analytics that guide long term sourcing strategies and obtain optimal value for the enterprise.

* Spend Analytics: Develop and implement sound spend reports that foster business intelligence for our strategic sourcing team. Drive innovation in data presentation for recognizing buying trends, tracking costs, reporting on supplier performance, and ensuring we are partnering with preferred suppliers.
* Business Process Improvements: Drive standardization throughout the enterprise on key processes such as supplier adds & changes, contract life cycle management, cost reduction tracking, price change administration, supplier portal, commodity strategy completion tracking, and supplier readiness review for new product launches – to name a few. Utilizing Lean Manufacturing concepts to eliminate waste, improve cycle times, and constantly striving for continuous improvement in these processes will be key.
* Total Cost Management: Look for areas to reduce cost, such as: trade working capital improvements, inventory reduction through better forecasting, and ensuring price reductions are captured in deflationary periods.
* Project Management: Plan-Do-Check-Act. Create a plan to implement improvement projects stated above, track to a timeline, knock down obstacles to completion, and present results.
