We continue to have an aggressive growth plan, operating 20 manufacturing facilities that are strategically located near its customers.

Our growing company is seeking to add a Pressroom Setup Person on 1st Shift at our Byron Center Michigan facility.

MEC currently works a 4-10hr. Monday – Thursday schedule (4am to 2pm) with overtime typically scheduled for Friday and Saturday as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operation, Setup and changeover of Automatic and Single Stroke Metal Stamping Presses
• Setup, maintenance and proper operation of safety devices and equipment guarding
• Ensure that First Piece is to customer specification before you turn it over to an operator
• Available to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Organization of the Dies, Carts, and other equipment used in setup/changeovers

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, Equivalent, or similar combination of experience and education.
• 3-5 years’ experience in setting and troubleshooting automatic and single stroke metal stamping presses.
• Familiarity with Forklift operation up to 20,000 lb. capacity.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Comfortable in making decisions regarding part quality along with managing people to a predetermined production schedule.
