Mayflower Apartments is Hiring a Housekeeper Near Virginia, VA
The Mayflower 16-story high rise building in Virginia Beach is looking for a dedicated, experienced and passionate Housekeeper with a flexible schedule and can be on call after hours
Responsibilities of the Housekeeper:
- Clean interior and exterior of premises including but not limited to floors, rugs, windows, walls, and surfaces.
- Disinfect, sanitize and wash common items like desks, door handles, phones, chairs, etc.
- Report and return any guest properties found in the apartments while rendering service to furnished apartments
- Report cases of property damage in commercial spaces to the Property Manager
- Clean, disinfect, and store all equipment at the end of the shift
- Maintain a positive relationship with employees and residents
- Monitor and report on the inventory of cleaning supplies
- Respond to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glass
- Collect and remove trash and debris
- Assist with laundry management
- Report, turn in, and log all lost and found items
- Clean upholstered furniture
- Perform detailed deep cleans when required
Requirements of the Housekeeper:
- At least one year of experience with corporate housekeeping
- Excellent working knowledge of cleaning appliances and their operations and proper use of cleaning agents
- Attention to detail
- Physical strength and stamina to work extended periods
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to stand, push, and pull a minimum of 20 pounds
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Valid driver's license
