• Act as an analytical hands-on engineer to design, develop, and commercialize new HD products and testing methods
• Conceptualize new product ideas and design prototypes
• Assist leading efforts maintaining existing and prospecting new HD suppliers to determine supply capabilities, OEM forecast demand, transportation logistics inventory control and management
• Travels overseas to visit suppliers to qualify them as new sources and assists in the resolution of production, design, quality and/or delivery challenges
• Negotiates prices and delivery terms with guidance from senior management
• Conduct market research to enhance your understanding of industry requirements and design accordingly
• Provide solid technical skill and engineering support for design and development activities for new and existing product
• Spearhead communications with overseas manufacturing team to deliver product specifications for production
• Analyze existing products to identify areas for improvement
• Assist engineers with troubleshooting products and other engineering tasks as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent field of study
• Minimum of 3 years of product development experience and/or manufacturing
• Proven experience with product testing, certification, and compliance
• Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials and quality control protocols
• Strong technical judgement and ability to provide technical direction
• Strong project management skills
• Proficiency in MS Office Word and Excel
• 3D printer software and printing a plus
• Proficiency in CAD software a plus
