Responsibilities

MaxLinear is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join our growing High-Performance Analog team. In this role, you will focus on the following:

• Lead cross-functional silicon engineering teams to successfully execute new product developments (NPD) from concept to production ramp through the formalized phase gate processes of the company
• Closely monitor and clearly report on all key metrics for all programs under management to team members, engineering leads, and management
• Work proactively with leads and management teams to manage changes, identify and resolve issues, and mitigate risk for the program
• Ensure standard templates and methods are in place to seamlessly create and track project and program-level plans
• Enforce NPD processes and ensure the quality of the deliverables for every phase of the program
• Facilitate engineering investigation of key technical issues with cross-functional teams
• Facilitate cross-functional communication, conflict resolution, task prioritization, contingency plans, and key program decision making
• Inform management of project status and escalate risks and issues for the program timely
• Close tracking of post-silicon bugs found in characterization and facilitating the closure of each item towards production release
• Support engineering leads in detailed scheduling of project tasks and dependencies to ensure phase-gate milestones are met to support overarching program goals
• Prepare and track program budget

Qualifications

• Experience in the semiconductor industry either in a program office or within design engineering, technology engineering or product engineering
• Strong communication and organization skills with excellent program management skills, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
• Strong project-building skills, including using best-in-class programs and project management tools
• Experience in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
• Strong understanding of IC development, silicon characterization and validation, embedded SW development, and system integration flow
• Proven program management track record of successfully delivering semiconductor programs on time and within budget with global cross-functional teams
• Strong technical skills successfully blended with interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to see engineering bottlenecks, obstacles, and inefficiencies to speed up time to market for programs under management
• Strong experience utilizing phased gate NPD processes as well as experience with Agile
• Experience with analog / power devices is a plus
• BS in Electrical Engineering or related 8 years of experience, or MS 6 years of experience, or Ph.D. 3 years of experience

Compensation and Benefits

MaxLinear has a Total Compensation philosophy which includes base salary and annual discretionary bonus eligibility and many positions also include stock-based compensation.

MaxLinear expects to offer a starting base salary within the range of: $162,400 to $219,300 Annually

The actual starting base salary will be determined by the match to certain role-related criteria such as educational degree(s) or equivalent, relevant work experience, skillset needed for the role, and geographic location; this is not an all-inclusive list as some roles may require unique skills or experience.
