Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Define and promote future technology and innovation strategy. - Drive innovative ideas, solutions and products through leadership and decisive action and define solutions, pricing and shape competitive positioning. - Responsible for creating strategic direction for assigned suborganization based on corporate and department strategy. - Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans. - Perform quality reviews for large scale initiatives and programs that involve multiple functional and technical components and/or teams. - Communicate and influence senior executive leadership, stakeholders, vendors, and clients. - Responsible for professional development by providing coaching and identifying new opportunities for growth for direct reports. - Responsible for team management, which includes resource forecasting, making decisions regarding hiring, promotions, and terminations, and performance management. Oversee and work with 3rd party vendors. - Produce high quality executive-ready messaging in the form of presentations, briefs, and memos. - Create and negotiate contract and commercial agreements. - Lead multiple teams of directors/senior managers, and managers. Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in related field required. - Minimum of 15 years of related professional experience required.

At Maximus, we are leading the way in digital transformation for our government customers. As a key leader within the Digital Solutions organization, the Vice President of Experience Design will be responsible for a team of UX designers, researchers, and service designers who create digital customer experiences across the full range of design practices, from conception to delivery. The VP will also be expected to guide the evolution of design standards, deliverables, and methodologies within the organization. This collaborative leader will have a background portfolio of successes delivering high-end experience for private-sector clients, with a strong desire to take these skills and fundamentally change the experiences that are found in the public sector today.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
?Responsible for creating strategic direction for assigned sub-organizations based on corporate and departmental strategy.
?Drive innovative ideas, solutions, and products through leadership and decisive action while defining the solutions, pricing, and shape of competitive positioning.
?Perform quality reviews for large-scale initiatives and programs that involve multiple functional and technical components and/or teams.
?Communicate and influence senior executive leadership, stakeholders, vendors, and clients.
?Coach and mentor teams within project work: guide staff in creating high-quality deliverables, facilitate client discussions and workshops, lead critiques, and coach fellow designers.
?Facilitate the client?s product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping, and user-testing experiences for digital products.
?Oversee the creation of deliverables including information architectures, sitemaps, wireframes, prototypes, personas, user journeys, service blueprints, and process flows.
?Manage relationships with external partners, freelancers, and vendors as needed.
?Support business development through estimation, solutioning, and high-level staffing plans.
?Direct planning, staffing, budgeting, schedules, delivery, and quality to meet business requirements.
?Develop and recommend innovative methods, techniques, and criteria for project execution.
?Review project deliverables to ensure compliance with acceptance criteria and contract requirements.
?Provide accurate and timely communication of risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
?Build relationships and grow trust with clients, stakeholders, other departments, and digital team.

Minimum Requirements:
?Bachelor's Degree in Design, Computer Science, Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction, or informatics required.
?Minimum of 15 years of related professional experience required.
?10 years of client-facing experience in agency or consultancy required.
?Ability to lead, motivate, and direct a team of Senior Directors, Directors, and individual contributors.
?Demonstrated strong customer and stakeholder management, with a lean towards customer satisfaction over all other factors while balancing scope and budget, to achieve project objectives.
?Working knowledge of User Research, Information Architecture, Interaction Design, Visual Design, and UI Engineering with prior demonstrated hands-on experience in 3 of the 6
?Strong working knowledge of the Accessibility domain, including Strategy, Testing (Automated and Manual), and Remediation in a highly regulated environment.
?Working knowledge of the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS 3.0) to build digital experiences for federal government agencies.
?Ability to drive and execute the vision and goals of the team.
?Identify additional opportunities and work with internal team to shape solutions.
?Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
?Ability to find solutions to various challenges: technical, organizational, and personal.
?Hands-on experience in both individual contributor and leadership roles within a team executing using agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
?The VP will be expected to work hybrid in the Princeton, NJ office location at least three (3) days per week and will also be expected to travel periodically based on business demands.

?A portfolio that reflects design experience and leadership.
?Proven track record of design thought leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive experience direction.
?Demonstrated success leading projects through full development cycles in discovery, concepting, prototyping, testing, and delivery and engaging cross-functional partners in the research and design process.
?Advanced skills in interaction design, visual design, information architecture, user research, and service design.
?Strong facilitation skills and experience utilizing a variety of methods and techniques to run complex human-centered design workshops.

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
