Maxim Healthcare Staffing is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Milwaukee, WI
$1,120/week
The Dental Assistant provides support to the dentist during patient care and completes the preparation of the room and dental tools/equipment. The Dental Assistant complete intake paperwork, update patient records, sterilize and organize dental tools, and assist during any dental procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares patient, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, prepares materials, and assists dentist during dental procedures
- Takes and records medical and dental histories
- Exposes dental diagnostic x-rays
- Makes preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts
- Assists dentist in management of medical and dental emergencies
- Instructs patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs
- Provides postoperative instructions prescribed by dentist
- Records treatment information in patient records
- Schedules appointments, prepare bills, and receives payment for dental services, completes insurance forms, and maintains clerical records manually or using the computer
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or its equivalent
- Current License/Certificate within state of practice
- One year experience as Dental Assistant preferred
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Participation and completion of Maxim’s Competency program when applicable
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
- Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
- Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required
- Computer proficiency required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
