A Lead Low Voltage Technician is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems such as access control, networking, burglar alarms, audio/visual systems, and video surveillance. They coordinate with clients, manage a team of technicians, troubleshoot issues, ensure compliance with safety standards, and optimize system performance for reliability and efficiency. They play a crucial role in ensuring that all systems meet high-quality standards and operate seamlessly across multiple client properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems including access control, networking, burglar alarms, audio/visual systems, and video surveillance.
  • Coordinate with clients to understand their requirements and ensure that projects meet their expectations.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions to ensure system functionality.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Optimize system performance to achieve high levels of reliability and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment inventory.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Proficiency with access control systems, including Brivo, Doorking, Linear, Openpath, and Keri.

In-depth knowledge of camera systems, such as Digital Watchdog, Geovision, and Eagle Eye.

Expertise in burglar alarm systems, including Honeywell Vista Panels, Lynx Touch, and ProA7.

Familiarity with A/V systems, including 70V commercial systems, Russound, Control4, and Crestron.

Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols, with the ability to troubleshoot network-related issues.

Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-centric approach.

Proven track record of delivering high-quality service and exceeding customer expectations.

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a demonstrated ability to handle complex technical challenges.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
