Max's South Seas Hideaway is Hiring a Restaurant Server Near Grand Rapids, MI
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced server to join our team. As a Server, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. Our tiki oasis is a fun, upbeat environment, totally unique to West Michigan, and we are seeking fun, upbeat and unique staff to match!
Duties:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting menu items
- Take and serve food and beverage orders
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas
- Process payments using POS systems
- Assist in bussing tables and resetting them for the next guests
- Provide assistance in basic food preparation tasks when needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a restaurant service role is required, with two or more years of experience preferred
- Weekend availability is a MUST
- Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and POS systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Sales skills to promote menu items and upsell when appropriate
