Do you enjoy creating and analyzing RFP's? Are you a strong negotiator when it comes to procurement agreements with suppliers? If yes, Maverik is looking for you!
What You'll Do:
- Develop and compose RFP/bid specifications in a manner that internal customer’s needs are addressed
- Analyze RFP/bid responses to determine the most responsive and responsible supplier to optimize total cost of ownership for Maverik
- Prepare supporting reports/spreadsheets in order to track actual cost reductions and ROI
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the maximum overall benefit to Maverik
- Negotiate new procurement agreements and any changes to existing supplier contracts
- Establishes collaborative relationships with key suppliers and establish collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders
- Source qualified suppliers in support of internal customer requirements and proactively manage supplier’s performance
What We're Looking For:
- 3 years of experience managing complex/high-value procurement initiatives and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- CPSM or CPSD Certification preferred
- Proven skill & knowledge in RFx’s and Contracting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business-related field preferred

- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including strong listening skills
- Practice operating independently without the need for continuous oversight or direction
- Proven ability to effectively prioritize and balance competing needs
- A history of taking the initiative to identify and solve work-related problems
- Experience in exercising initiative and sound judgment in decision-making
