Role: Sr. Scrum MasterDuration: 5 Months (Contract) W2Location: Denver, CO (Remote - Locals preferred)Key Skills: Support cross-functional scrum teams, Agile, Provide and communicate backlog tracking, monitor burndown charts and product metrics, forecast velocity, and oversee the flow of work related to tasks associated with each requirement (user story). Description:
  • The Scrum Master is responsible for implementation and oversight of scrum processes applied to operations throughout the organization and/or in specific work units.
  • This position is responsible for coaching team members in scrum methodology, leading scrum events, and eliminating barriers to assure successful sprints.
  • This position proactively collaborates with all stakeholders to support release planning and foster team decision-making, while facilitating collaboration between the scrum team and Product Owner.
  • The purpose of this position is to successfully support cross-functional scrum teams to add value efficiently through the practice of scrum events and agile principles.
Requirements:
  • Coordinating and facilitating all scrum events throughout the lifecycle
  • Facilitating and participating in the daily scrum
  • Helping the team maintain their burndown chart
  • Shielding the team from interruptions during the sprint
  • Removing obstacles that affect the team
  • Walking the product owner through more technical user stories
  • Encouraging collaboration between the scrum team and Product Owner
  • Provide and communicate backlog tracking, monitor burndown charts and product metrics, forecast velocity, and oversee the flow of work related to tasks associated with each requirement (user story).
  • Coordinate and facilitate all agile events making sure the team is working smoothly and every team member has tools to get their work done efficiently.
  • Forecast the numbers of scrum deliverables possible in an iteration, which is based on evidence and reliable source.
  • Remove product impediments while continuously negotiating with the product owner throughout the product development life cycle.
  • Improve the efficiency of the development team.
  • Provides continuous education to the scrum team on agile methodology.
  • Manage scrum team conflicts while keeping the product on track within the agreed upon budget.
  • Ensures the scrum team completes the work they commit to.
