Matterhorn RE LLC is Hiring a Line cook Near New Bedford, MA

Matterhorn is looking for a creative and experienced line cook to join our maturing team. Experienced in a fast-paced changing restaurant, where creativity and teamwork are highly encouraged.

We are focused on being innovative, building relationships, and making people happy. As a vital member of our team, the line cooks are responsible for ensuring the highest quality of culinary service.

They support a creative Tapas concept and private event food production. We take pride in our Cork Family and view all employees as partners.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Answer, report and follow executive chef or sous chef’s instructions
  • Clean up station and properly contain leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with allergy control, sanitation regulations, and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Skills

  • Ideally two years proven cooking experience, including experience as a line cook, restaurant cook or prep cook
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices
