Mattapoisett Animal Hospital is Hiring a Veterinarian Near Mattapoisett, MA

The Mattapoisett Animal Hospital is a family-oriented three doctor small animal and exotics hospital located in southeastern Massachusetts. Located in a beach-side summer vacation town, we pride ourselves on providing the best possible care. The Mattapoisett Animal Hospital provides a great working environment!

We are currently seeking a part-time veterinarian to join our family. We are looking for a self motivated, hardworking individual, who is fun-loving yet professional. Applicants must be friendly and enjoy working with people as well as with the animals. This is a great opportunity for an applicant that needs a set schedule and is able to work every other Saturday from 9:00am-1:00pm.

We require previous experience in the veterinary field, a cover letter, resume, and three references.

Our hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 8am-6pm, Friday 8am-5pm, and Saturdays 8am-1pm

Overview:

Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat various illnesses and injuries in animals
- Perform surgical procedures as needed
- Provide preventive care, including vaccinations and parasite control
- Conduct thorough physical examinations
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding treatment plans
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Oversee animal handling and ensure proper care with our staff
- Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures
- Administer medications and perform animal catheterization when necessary

Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution
- State veterinary license in good standing
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and best practices
- Experience in exotic medicine is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
