Matrix Finance and Accounting is Hiring a Payroll Accountant Near Bothell, WA
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial Analysis
- Supporting Decision-making
- Ensuring that financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported by conducting regular ledger maintenance.
- Support Payroll Accountant
- Prepare Sales and Use Tax files for State and Local taxes in Colorado.
- Prepare & File Business and Occupation Taxes in Washington.
- Support the Fixed Asset Accountant with Colorado Assets
- Perform month-end closing procedures related to fixed assets and other related entries as assigned.
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Support external audit requirements and actively contribute to related team deliverables.
- GAAP knowledge required.
- Mentor accounting staff.
Other special projects and duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines and show flexibility when priorities change.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Motivated, creative problem solver, with ability to use independent judgment and personal initiative to identify problems and recommend solutions.
- Ability to effectively work cross-functionally within an organization to seek information.
- in a growing company, fast paced environment.
- with MS Office, in particular, Microsoft Excel
- computer and financial system skills: (Experience with MS Dynamics Ax, other ERP system a plus)
- to communicate clearly, efficiently, and accurately with internal and external customers.
