Mathews Archery Inc is Hiring a CNC Operator-1st Shift Near Sparta, WI

Join our team as a CNC Operator for the 1st shift, where you will play a crucial role in producing quality parts for our company. Our company prides itself on its commitment to quality, integrity, and customer satisfaction. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating CNC machines, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring the quality of finished products. Your work hours will be from 6:00am-2:00pm, Monday through.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machine center by milling blocks of aluminum.
  • Load and unload machines correctly.
  • Use scanner to document jobs, ensuring accurate data capture with minimal scanning errors.
  • Perform quality checks of finished products using calipers to ensure proper dimensional requirements.
  • Maintain production levels required for the position.
  • Buff and de-burr parts and plates.
  • Document scrap produced according to department standards.
  • Dump chip bins as needed.
  • Maintain a clean work area, including cleaning machines inside and out.
  • Assist in other departments as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Good mechanical abilities and manual dexterity.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively.
  • Self-motivation skills.
  • Ability to build positive work relationships with coworkers and customers with an emphasis on teamwork.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations (fractions, decimals, percentages).

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a production environment with routine exposure to dirt, noise, chemicals, and solvents. Regular exposure to repetitive motions and tasks. Work hours are generally during normal business hours and average at least 40 hours a week, with some expectation of overtime. Work is primarily performed while standing. Must be able to lift and move up to 30 pounds of product and equipment.
