PositionSummary

The SeniorVice President of Operations position oversees production, distribution, and maintenance activities to ensure safe and efficient cylinder and nitrous oxide plantoperation at multiple sites across all zones in the country. In this role,the Senior Vice President of Operations is directly responsible for safety,quality, and adherence to regulatory requirements as they relate to personneland the multiple plants under their direction. 

PositionAccountabilities

• Provide leadership in safety and quality under Matheson’s corporate guidelines and directives to drive reductions in the areas of injury and vehicle accident frequency rates.
• Ensure compliance of operations in accordance with OSHA, DOT, FDA, and EPA regulations.
• Directly manage the operations through multiple managers in accordance with the organization's policies, and applicable laws.
• Demonstrate and maintain a high level of customer focus, and customer commitment at all locations through management of on-time delivery and customer complaint metrics.
• Provide response and reporting to the executive team regarding customer issues related to plant operations and distribution.
• Drive operational efficiencies through cost optimization and cost reduction projects.
• Monitor and control all plant expenses to ensure monthly and annual corporate goals are achieved.
• Monitor staffing needs to ensure locations are operating safely and in accordance with established staffing models.
• Create capital expenditures budget and manage capital requests for approval.
• Work directly with Matheson locations to ensure the efficient use of corporate assets.
• Work directly with corporate management for the procurement of assets.
• Develop and update contingency and emergency plans as required.
• Provide technical support and maintain/update procedures in the areas of safety, quality, and operational processes.
• Maintain clear thinking and professional composure in high pressure situations.
• On call 24/7 to direct handling of any operational or customer needs.
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned
