Responsibilities:
Manage a large pipeline of loans to ensure your production meets our requirements
Counsel borrowers to understand the pros and cons of different loan products to determine which is best for them
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of all required documents from borrowers, loan officers, title companies and other related industry professionals
Establish and maintain relationships with realtors, bank officers, builders, and the community at large in order to retain existing and attract new business
Interface with realtors, processors, and underwriters to ensure a smooth transaction while overseeing all customer interactions
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement of commercial business relationships including solicitation for new loans and deposits
Commercial account management to include review and monitoring of financial statements and other support documentation. Including opening, closing, and maintaining commercial accounts
Provides supervisory support and assistance to the Business Services Specialist
Maintains appropriate records and reports related to the commercial loan and deposit operations
Cross-sells credit unions, products, and services as determined by the monthly department manager.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from a four year college or university required in banking, business, real estate, or a related field
Understanding of loan originator software such as Experian, LendingWise, or Calyx, and Office Suite highly preferred
Multiple years of real estate, mortgage origination, or lending required
Provide excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, superior written and verbal communication skills, and exceptional decision-making ability
Familiarity with multiple types of loans such as conventional, fixed/ adjustable, FHA, VA, USDA, bridge, non-conforming, FNMA and FHLMC, and Home Equity Lines of Credit
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven experience in commercial lending or related financial services roles
In-depth knowledge of lending practices, financial analysis, and risk assessment
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements governing commercial lending
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Commercial Loan Officer) are a plus
Demonstrates an understanding of, and follows the requirements of all regulation compliance, including but not limited to those of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Member Due Diligence (MDD) as it specifically relates to their job functions. Employees shall be trained annually in BSA/AML compliance
