Primary Responsibilities:
- Collect Timecard data for hourly employees via Time Management System
- Interfaces with location HR staff to ensure timely receipt of payroll data
- Ensure that weekly payrolls are processed accurately and timely
- Audit payroll data prior to posting
- Report Payroll liabilities
- Respond to employee inquires
- Process garnishment calculations
- Analyze payroll issues and recommend corrective actions
- Review change of status requests to ensure proper information is updated
- Create reports as needed
Education/Background Requirements:
- At least four years of payroll processing required (in-house Ultipro payroll processing experience
- Associates degree preferred
- A combination of education and experience may be considered
- FPC, CPP, or APP certification preferred
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Excellent customer service skills, communication skills, and a happy, smiling attitude are essential
- Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills, ability to exercise initiative, good judgment, and
- Understanding of general ledger and applicable principles
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and complete tasks within deadlines
- Knowledge and experience working with multi-state weekly, monthly, or quarterly and annual tax reporting
- Proficient with MS Office products (especially Excel) and multi-faceted HRIS.
- Ability to foster positive relationships with vendors, clients, and company employees.
- Ability to prioritize and deal with competing demands; multi-tasking capacity critical.
- Approaches responsibility with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to excellence.
- Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
