Vice President, People Business Partner

Overview:

The VP, People Business Partner has primary responsibility for the design, delivery, and management of the talent strategy in alignment with the business priorities. This role will partner closely with senior leaders in support of key capabilities for the future growth of the business including building a holistic talent strategy and leading people/organizational initiatives for the Worldwide Finance business unit.

Role:

The VP, People Business Partner will lead the development and implementation of talent strategies and initiatives, and management of core human resources activities globally. They will work in partnership with members of the People & Capability community along with key business stakeholders to develop programs designed to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness. This role will serve as an advocate for employees and will develop and implement initiatives designed to enhance employee engagement, development, and productivity. They will also act as a positive cultural change agent, consultant, and business advisor to the leadership team. The role is responsible for four separate client groups within our Finance organization, and management a business partner. This position reports to the Senior Vice President, People and Capability, Worldwide Finance.

The VP, People Business Partner will also be responsible for managing and performing a wide range of activities including, but not limited to:

  • Management of talent review and succession planning processes
  • Performance management, employee relations, employee coaching and mentoring
  • Compensation assessment and planning
  • Organizational design and development
  • Talent development
  • Partner to regional People Business Partners and Mastercard's Centers of Expertise to develop strategies and initiatives designed to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness

All About You:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; advanced degree preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in areas of feedback, employee relations, development, coaching, compensation, and organizational development
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrix environment managing high volume with speed and quality
  • Strong track record in driving organizational and culture change
  • Ability to design and articulate strategic vision and plans, executing with excellence
  • Ability to develop strong relationships across all levels of the organization, especially across HR business partners and CoE roles
