Clinical Social Worker/ Per Diem/ Weekend Evenings/ MGH- Social Services

• The Massachusetts General Hospital Social Service Department is seeking an MSW social worker to help cover Weekend Evening Shifts (2:30pm-11:00pm).
• This position requires a commitment to pick up a minimum of 1-2 shifts per month.
• We are looking for social workers with excellent clinical, collaborative and consultation skills to offer clinical social work services to patients and families.
• The on-site social worker is responsible for covering the MGH Emergency Department and the adult and pediatric inpatient units as needed.
• The successful candidates will have an interest in the acute care setting working with patients and families presenting with a wide-variety of medical and psychosocial challenges.

• Master's of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program required.
• Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with relevant clinical experience required.
• Excellent clinical, communication, documentation and collaboration skills are a necessity.
• Experience with crisis intervention, loss and bereavement, substance use disorder, trauma, abuse and neglect (elder, disabled and child) is preferred.
• The successful candidate will have excellent clinical and collaboration skills and will be experienced in short-term modalities while working with patients and families across the life-span.
• Candidates should have the ability to prioritize and manage cases in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment.
