General Job Description

Supervises the in-process inspection, outside service plating, painting and final inspection. Supervises the staff and activities involved in quality control.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Adheres to all Company Policy & Procedures and Department Procedures.
• Develops manpower planning and utilization programs to satisfy projected and actual requirements.
• Coordinates inspection activities in accordance with production schedule.
• Establishes effective lines of communication and feedback with operations supervisors, Quality Engineers, and other personnel to ensure prompt attention and resolution of conditions that adversely affect quality and throughput.
• Monitors, maintains, or develops performance reporting system relative to the effectiveness of the inspection operations and initiates necessary actions based upon results.
• Develops and maintains employee development and participation programs that achieve the individuals' potential and add value to the organization.
• Maintains an environment that promotes a team atmosphere.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.

Education, Training & Experience

• High school education or equivalent (Bachelor degree a plus).
• 5 years experience in contract manufacturing or equivalent field.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Working knowledge of sheetmetal fabrication, machining, welding, painting, and electromechanical assembly preferred.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting manufacturing part drawings.
• Working knowledge of GD&T, preferred.
• Proficient in mechanical inspection methodologies (ability to program/operate Zeiss CMM a plus.)
• Past experience working in an ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 certified organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite of applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Proficient in data analysis/visualization tools (Tableau) preferred.
• Experience using Epicor ERP software, or equivalent, a plus.
• Demonstrated performance in employee development.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to safely lift 35 pounds
• Ability to provide leadership.
• Ability to work day/swing shift as required
