Masons Supply Company is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales / Warehouseman / Back-up Driver

POSITION SUMMARY

The Inside Sales / Warehouseman / Back-up Driver has the responsibilities of assisting customers on the sales counter, answering phones, handling cash and charge transactions along with the responsible of the day-to-day functions for the warehouse and the delivery of products in a safe and timely manner. Provide exceptional skills communicating with branch manager, warehousemen, company drivers, customers and perform other duties as required.

Inside Sales Duties:

  • Helping customers on the phone or at the sales counter
  • Assist outside salespeople with quotes
  • Processing sales orders and cash transactions
  • Processing transfers to stock between branches
  • Maintain adequate stock levels of tools in showroom
  • Ensure the store is clean and inventory is well organized
  • Other duties as required

Warehouse Duties:

  • Follow Mason’s Warehouse Policies and Procedures
  • Follow Mason’s Safety Policies
  • Cooperate and communicate with branch manager, warehousemen, and company drivers
  • Maintain and inspect warehouse forklifts, trucks and other equipment
  • Forklift operations, knowledge, and certification
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Follow Hazmat requirements (as trained and certified)
  • Attend safety meetings as needed
  • Perform warehouse labor, loading and unloading products on company and customer vehicles
  • Receiving and counting incoming inventory
  • Advise on adequate stock levels
  • Perform order picking process accurately
  • Shipping orders on common carriers, UPS, Fed-X, LTL and TL’s
  • Perform put away process of materials in proper bin locations and well organized
  • Perform expedient and efficient stock transfer between branches
  • Help maintain and advise on adequate stock levels
  • Monitor inventory shelf life
  • Perform daily cycle counting inventory
  • Distribute all paperwork to necessary departments
  • Complete special projects as required
  • Other duties as required

Backup Deliver Driver responsible for delivering materials on deliver trucks to customers’ jobsites, unloading when necessary.

Driver Duties:

  • Deliver materials to customers jobsites and unload when necessary
  • All in a safe and timely manner
  • Maintain all equipment
  • Vehicle inspections
  • Complete appropriate paperwork as required
  • Other duties as required

  • Must be able to pass a drug and background test

Driving Requirements:

  • State issued driver’s license
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to bend and stoop, the ability to maintain a crouching position to inspect the underside of the vehicle, frequent entering and exiting of the cab, and the ability to climb ladders on the tractor and/or trailer(s)

Preferred Requirements:

  • Building products/hardware/construction experience preferred

Physical Activities and Requirements, Visual Acuity, and Working Conditions of the Position

1. The physical activity of this position:

o Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.

o Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces. o Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.

o Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

o Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.

o Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.

o Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.

o Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.

o Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.

o Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.

o Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.

o Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound.

o Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

2. The physical requirements of this position:

o Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

3. The visual acuity requirements including color, depth perception, and field of vision:

o The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

o The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.

o The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general labor, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection, etc.).

4. The conditions the worker will be subject to in this position:

o The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.

o The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions: One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: Fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
