As a 40 hour per week Housekeeper, your working hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with every 3rd weekend, and every 3rd holidays.

You will perform housekeeping and cleaning activities within assigned common areas, residents' apartments, windows, doors, as well as as constant disinfecting within our senior living community.

WHAT WILL YOU DO AS A HOUSEKEEPER?

• You will follow a cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.,) as outlined within the housekeeping department.
• The housekeeper will clean assigned areas, furnishings, and fixtures according to our established housekeeping procedures.
• Clean floors: Dry mop, wet mop, sweep, wax, buff, disinfect.
• The housekeeper will perform emergency housekeeping where accidents occur.
• Clean movable and stationary furnishings and fixtures so you may dust, spot clean or wash, disinfect, and polishes. This includes the cleaning of ledges, shelves, vents, etc.
• The housekeeper will straighten or rearrange furniture as directed.
• Inspect furnishings for wear and defects and report to Maintenance Director.
• Clean bathrooms (resident, private) and replenish bathroom supplies as needed.
• The housekeeper will clean and disinfects all fixtures, floors, windows, doors, ceilings, mirrors and walls as directed.
• Spot clean between washings, and disinfect as required. Walls and ceilings and ceiling fixtures are cleaned as scheduled.
• The housekeeper will clean floors entrances and exits, all horizontal surfaces daily or as required, removing dust, dirt, or greasy film, using disinfectants where necessary such as in resident care areas.
• Perform terminal cleaning duties according to established procedures in resident apartments when resident has been discharged or transferred, and prepares room for new occupant.
• The housekeeper will remove for cleaning and re-hang curtains, drapes, and dividers.
• Remove waste, dispose waste and trash, reline wastebaskets.
• The housekeeper will send soiled linens to laundry and launders as scheduled.
• Report observations concerning structural and equipment wear, defects and malfunctioning to supervisor.
• The housekeeper will report supply and equipment needs to Maintenance Director for replenishing.
• Maintain equipment used in performing your housekeeping duties.
• The housekeeper will perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED FOR THE HOUSEKEEPER?

• You must be fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID 19 and flu.
• Previous experience as a housekeeper in a work setting for a minimum of 1 year required.
• The housekeeper must have the have the ability to follow oral directions and have the willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis.
• Be pleasant, tactful, courteous.
• The housekeeper must be efficient in the use of supplies, care and use of equipment.
• You must be able to fully understand & complete Dementia In-Service training.
• The housekeeper must have the ability to read, write and speak fluent English.
• Ability to speak Spanish a plus!
