Responsible for receipt of goods from suppliers, and delivery of raw materials, purchased parts and supplies throughout the company using various power equipment, manual equipment, and by hand .
Duties and Responsibilities:
Opens boxes, crates, and performs visual inspection of received goods
Unloads skids of materials from trucks using hand power lifts or fork truck
Reports any visibly damaged materials to management. Prepares basic documentation of damaged materials including pictures
Counts or weighs goods to ensure quantity/weights match receiving paperwork
Data enters received goods into company database (MFG Pro)
Initials and stamps receiving paperwork with date, initials and forwards to office
Delivers goods to appropriate department or location by hand or by use of motorized hand trucks or fork truck
Works as part of the team and assists within other areas of the department or company when needed
Works in a safe manner, utilizing all required personal protective equipment
All other duties as assigned by Manager
Qualifications:
Shipping/receiving experience helpful
Excellent organization skills
Basic mathematical aptitude
Prior experience operating various manufacturing lifting equipment including hand jacks and fork truck
Physical Demands:
Must be able to become fork truck certified and able to operate, mount, and dismount fork truck safely.
Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs and carry approximately 30 lbs. Specific vision requirements include close vision. Must be able to use hands to handle and carry. Must regularly stand throughout workday, bend, reach and lift.
