Highly organized and able to work independently and cooperatively with others5.Flexibility and the ability to handle a variety of tasks under pressureREPORTS TO:Business AdministratorJOB GOAL:To perform a variety of accounting and budgeting functions, including the reporting and management of all grants, to ensure efficient and timely operations associated with all school fiscal business.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:1.Assists the Business Administrator with all financial accounting 2.Assists with the development of the annual budget including expenditures and revenues for Budget Committee approval.3.Manage federal grant fund accounts and maintain fiscal reporting for the NHDOE in conjunction with the grant managers.4.Processes accounting entries including general ledger adjustments5.Provide grant managers with monthly federal grant reports and maintains grant budgets6.Reviews all revenue and accounts receivable deposits.7.Remains up to date on the changing laws and requirements regarding federal funds available to the schools.8. Reconciles accounting software cash balances with treasurer to bank statements 9.Process monthly food service reports and record revenue.10.Work with principals and secretaries to maintain and balance student activity accounts.11.Assists with salary and benefit budget projections.12.Processes transfers of budgeted funds as directed by the Business Administrator13.Provides monthly accounting of all income and expenditures to the Business Administrator.14.Provides advance warning of potential over-expenditure of budgeted funds.15.Assist as needed and is backup for accounts payable/purchasing and payroll operations.16. Reconcile and process the NHRS monthly payments and submits monthly reporting. 17.Assists in the preparation of the annual year-end financial report and DOE 25 for submission to the NH DOE18.Ensures a successful transition of fiscal funds from one year to the next.19. Assists the BA with the annual SAU audit20.Performs other such duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Business Administrator or SuperintendentTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Twelve months. Salary and other terms and conditions of employment shall be governed by negotiated contract.EVALUATION:Performance in this position will be evaluated by the Business Administrator in accordance with School Board policy.
