JOB DESCRIPTIONPOSITION TITLE: English TeacherSCHOOLS: Mascenic Regional High School QUALIFICATIONS: Must be certified or certifiable in English Language Arts REPORTS TO: Building AdministratorPERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIESThe candidate should have experience teaching multiple levels of English grades 9-12 Duties include the following: teach, supervise students and classes of students in accordance with district policies.Maintain a positive instructional environment, and participate in appropriate program activities with students.Selects resources and activities that match objectives and State Frameworks/GSEs.Develop and prioritize long and short term objectives within Curriculum Guidelines.Organize instruction as needed to promote student mastery.Select effective instructional approaches that provide a variety of learning modalities.Evaluates student performance through spoken and written feedback and school provided progress reports.Display professional ethicsAdhere to contractual obligations.
