Physical Therapy physician job in Nebraska :

Physical Therapist

Tecumseh, NE

Must be licensed PT in the state of Nebraska. Hiring Range for PT is 36.00-56.00 / hr.

Principle Responsibilities

Works with school-based pediatrics, inpatients, outpatients, skilled care patients, and Home Health patients.

Plans, organizes, and directs departmental operations.

Evaluates each patient and develops an appropriate plan of treatment.

Implements and supervises treatment programs, recognizing patient problems and possible complications.

Reports patients progress, and informs physician when maximum benefits appear to have been reached.

Performs proper documentation in medical records, including evaluation, progress notes, and discharge summary on each correlating patient visit.

Communicates patient treatment protocol to supportive personnel on a daily basis.

Supervises activities of personnel such as physical therapist assistants and aides who engage in and render physical therapy services to patients as designated by plan of care.

Participates in interviews and hires as appropriate and supervises departmental employees.

Counsels employees in matters concerning patient and staff relationships, disciplinary actions and job performance. Participates in annual performance appraisals.

Recommends promotions, transfers, and terminations based on above stated appraisals.

Participates in purchasing decisions and maintains, in conjunction with Maintenance department, equipment as necessary to provide maximum care and treatment for the patient.

Reviews pertinent literature / journals and attends seminars / conferences which will further the development of Physical Therapy practices.
