We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to be our clinical teamn lead. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during procedures and ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients. If you have a passion for dentistry and excellent patient care, we would love to hear from you.
Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, and retracting tissues
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
Skills:
- Proficiency in medical coding and billing
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
- Knowledge of aseptic technique in infection control
- Competency in taking dental X-rays
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation
- Strong assisting skills during dental procedures
- Ability to operate medical imaging equipment
- Experience with Eaglesoft dental software
- Comfortable working with pediatric patients
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- Current certification in dental radiography (X-ray certification)
- CPR certification preferred
