Maryland Family and General Dentistry is looking for a full time, Assistant Business Manager to assist with the day-to-day operations of our busy front desk! We are a multi-specialty dental office, with a wide array of specialties including: General Dentist, Endodontics, Periodontics, Pedodontics, Orthodontics, Prosthodontics, and Oral surgery. In this position, you will assist the Front Desk Manager with insuring the every day tasks are completely in a timely and orderly fashion.

Spanish speaking preferred, but not required

Dental experience preferred, but not required

College degree required

Duties:

• Learn and Oversee front desk
• Manage Billing Department
• Organize and oversee supply purchases, equipment upgrades and operations expenses
• Oversee office production and efficiency
• Manage appointments and office schedule
• Follow up on patient care
• Oversee referrals and record releases
• Assisting Check in and Checkout staff
• Create and describe treatment plans
• Explain copays and ensure patients understand
• Sending record releases
• Monitoring office email and managing referrals
• Answering phones
• Checking copays
• Oversee all payment plans and recurring payments
• Linking insurance
• Checking eligibility for Medicaid and HMO insurances
• Competing breakdowns for PPO insurances
• Ensuring schedules are filled and productive
• Maintain and renew all licenses of staff
• Assist the Business Office Manager with Admin duties as needed.
• Assist with Orthodontics Schedule and operations

Requirements:

• Dental Office experience (2 to 3 years preferred)
• Spanish Speaking preferred
• Saturday availability
• Evening hours availability
• Team oriented
• Able to delegate and work in a supervisory position
• Must have Bachelor's Degree
